This image was all about some of the first attempts at flight. I say attempts because this model of plain could never fly also I am trying to imply that it is about to crash into the water. Anywho, acrylic on paper.

there is a version of that plane that really did fly, and the pilot/inventor was named alberto santos-dumont. i saw a documentary about him on pbs. it was pretty cool.
anyways, this piece is looovely!
and now that i look back at the photo of that plane i realize it looks nothing like this one. BUT THAT IS OKAY.
